Formats
- Flat film – Polyethylene film in flat form consists of a single, flat layer of material. It is used for packaging and securing products when film without a folded sleeve is required.
- Half-sleeve film – Half-sleeve film is folded lengthwise and slit along one side, creating a single layer when unfolded. This format makes it easier to adapt the film to products of different sizes.
- Sleeve film – Sleeve film is made in the form of a closed tube, allowing the product to be placed inside the film. It is used in manual, semi-automatic and automatic packaging processes.
Polyethylene film
Polyethylene films are designed for packaging, securing and covering products during storage, transport and production processes. Depending on the type, they can differ in flexibility, stiffness, mechanical strength and heat-sealing properties, allowing the film to be selected according to the specific application. They are available in various formats and types, including flat film, sleeve film and half-sleeve film.
Types
- HDPE – HDPE film is characterized by greater stiffness and high mechanical strength. It is used, among other applications, for securing and packaging products and in applications requiring greater film stability.
- LDPE – LDPE film is flexible, transparent and easy to heat-seal, allowing it to adapt well to the shape of the packaged product. It is used as a packaging material and for protecting products from external factors.
- LDPE for lamination – LDPE film for lamination is designed to be combined with other material layers to create laminated packaging structures. It is used, among other applications, as a heat-sealable layer in laminates used for packaging.
- LDPE shrink film – LDPE shrink film contracts when heated and closely conforms to the product being secured. It is primarily used for multipack packaging and for protecting products from moisture and dirt.
